Venue3Two Wedding Inspiration

Just outside the busy streets of Grand Rapids, Michigan is this beautifully restored mansion that was built in 1925 and turned into a wedding space, Venue3Two.  The stone walls, the glassed-in conservatory, the equestrian therapy farm that the venue sits on, the kitchen (not kidding I’m a little obsessed about this kitchen); it is all that makes up this beautiful wedding venue.

If the grounds of this venue aren’t enough then their mission will seal the deal.  Their goal is to give back to their community by empowering survivors of human trafficking, empowering them to see their potential, and heal families of risk and underprivileged children.

This.. this is what sold me on this venue to hold a styled shoot at.  Their mission touched my soul and aligned with Blushing Designs so well.  To empower women.

I had been chatting with Cynthia, from Cynthia Mae Photography, about planning another styled shoot and I had her check out Venue3Two.  We both agreed this was the place for our next shoot.

The day of the shoot was a total dream.  There had been rain predicted for the whole day so it looked like we might have to plan an indoor shoot but we didn’t give up hope and kept our good vibes for a break in the rain.

Our bride and groom showed up with smiles on and ready to be pampered.  The bride got all set up in the salon that is located in the side wing of the mansion.   It is every hairstylist and makeup artist’s dream.  Complete with two salon chairs and two make-up chairs.

Once the bride’s hair and makeup were wedding ready, she moved back over to the bridal suite.  This bridal suite just screams bridal and makes any girl feel all bridal the day of their big wedding. The beautifully white suite with 1920’s décor, the most fun wallpaper and side room for mimosas and brunch.

Don’t worry there’s pampering for the groom as well but in the form of the groom suite that is beyond swanky with dark leather chairs, darker wallpaper and adjoining room for beers and munchies.  It’s a great hanging out space for the men to gather around, laugh and share stories.

And oh my word the ceremony space!  It did finally stop raining just in time for the bride and groom to head outside.  We designed two free standing arch pieces that framed the glass doors that made the backdrop to the ceremony.  The mansion itself is beautiful and makes for the perfect backdrop to any bride and groom shots.

The conservatory is brand new as of this spring 2019.  It is gorgeous!  Surrounded by two full walls of windows, one of which looks out over the trees and woods, the high ceilings, a projection screen for slides, and ample dancing room.

Literally you cannot go wrong with this wedding venue. Every bit of their space is to die for. There is no bad spot to take a picture.  Even their kitchen is to die for.  I walked into the kitchen and went to kitchen heaven.  All couples must take a minute to get a picture in the kitchen.

To all the couples looking for a wedding venue in Grand Rapids Michigan, take a moment to walk through Venue3Two and feel good about spending your money because you know it goes to a good cause.

Cheers,

H
